Waters Art Competition
We are pleased to announce our second Waters online Art Competition for the month of August 2025. The gallery invites artists and photographers to submit their finest works inspired by the theme Waters. Submissions may explore a wide range of interpretations whether representational, abstract, or conceptual and can depict seascapes, oceans, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, streams, or ponds. All visual art mediums are allowed
In addition to the selected artists, the jury will select award winners in the following art categories: painting, photography, sculpture. All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate. An article about each artist will be displayed alongside the best of show and three winners. The best of show will be displayed on the poster of the exhibition. Judging the artwork will be based on the following criteria: creativity, originality and quality of art, overall design, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of medium. The jury will not consider artworks with pornographic or satanic content. Entry fees are $20 for two pieces of artwork. You may submit more than two images; there is no limit to the number of images an artist may submit.

Innovate Grant awards (2) $1,800.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (12) honorable mentions (6 in art and 6 in photo), will be featured on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant’s commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future. Blue Art Contest
Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the fifth “Blue” online art contest for the month of August 2025. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit. The theme may include any work with depiction of the color blue or shades of blue (pale blue of a daytime sky, shades of turquoise, ultramarine blue, deep ocean blue). All visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. Best of Show artwork will be on the poster of the show. Winning artists (Merit Award & Honorable Mention) will receive a digital award certificate. The deadline to submit entries is the August 14, 2025.
Call for Submissions: Art in Action New York 2025
We invite artists, performers, designers, and professionals in creative fields to participate in Art in Action New York 2025. Art in Action aims to explore new ways of showcasing art and creative projects while providing meaningful experiences and professional networks for artists, enthusiasts, and local and international audiences. Through challenges, collaboration, and commitment, we hope to inspire a new cultural movement, blurring boundaries between cultural creators from different backgrounds and languages, as well as between creators and consumers.
[Art in Action New York 2025]
“Art in Action New York 2025” is a one-day event featuring talks, performances, artworks, and pop-up booths. Each presenter will have 20 minutes to showcase their work, including talks, presentations, performances, and/or experimental workshops.
Presenters will also have the opportunity to showcase and sell their work during the event. Each presenter will be assigned one booth table. Items for sale may include artworks, prints, publications, design products, stationery, and other creative goods.
Artists’ promo videos and event footage will be shared on social media. The event is organized by CICA Museum and will take place in Brooklyn, New York on December 20, 2025. Presenters will meet online in advance to prepare for the show, and our team will announce the schedule.
Presenters will also be featured in the upcoming book New Media Art 2027, expected to be released in full-color paperback in December 2026.
[Exhibition] “Art in Action: Concurrent Show” at the CICA Museum
Participating artists will be invited to the group show, Art in Action: Concurrent Show, at the CICA Museum in Korea from December 3rd to December 28th, 2025. CICA Museum staff will install artworks on behalf of the artists. Each participating artist may exhibit up to two works. Participation is optional. Additional fees may apply if a work exceeds the specified size limits or requires additional installation requirements.
*Installation:
– Photographs & 2D Digital Art
Selected works will be printed in 10×15 or 10 x 10 inches, framed, and installed by the museum curators & assistants. If requested by the artist, works can be printed and framed in larger sizes. Additional fees may apply.
– Video & Interactive Art
The museum will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. The museum curators & assistants will install your work(s) according to your installation guidelines. If the work is required to be screened through a projector exclusively, or more than two projectors/monitors are needed, please indicate the special requirements in the submission email. Additional fees may apply.
– Physical Work & Installation Art
The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.

Patron Services & Business Coordinator
Employee/Part-time; year-round; 18 hours per week (with overtime likely during concert weeks); mostly remote with some local travel required; Flexible schedule to be determined – must be willing to work at least 4 weekdays between 8 am – 5 pm; some evening and weekend work required; attendance at dress rehearsals and concerts required; partial attendance at 1-2 Monday rehearsals/month between August-May required. Must be based in the Sacramento area. Valid driver’s license and access to high-speed Internet required.

About the Position:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational tasks for the organization including maintaining relationships with patrons (ticket buyers, donors, singers, ushers, and venues), managing all administrative and marketing duties, and serves as the main point of contact for securing and communicating with venues. Tasks include but are not limited to:
– Online setup and processing of ticket sales
– Liaising with venues and vendors
– Processing contracts and keeping accurate records of all venue contacts, contracts, and procedures
– Creating and sending marketing emails, press releases, social media posts
– Proofing all correspondence and marketing materials
– Maintaining organization’s website
– Working with the Board of Directors on grant preparations and donation solicitations
– Checking SMS’s mailbox, opening and disseminating mail
– Answering and returning phone calls
– Maintaining accurate records and correspondence with ushers and other volunteers
– Scheduling auditions
– Working with new singers to integrate them into the organization
– Volunteer management
– Maintaining the SMS roster
– Management of the group’s chorus member management software
– Keeping the SMS Operations Manual up-to-date
– Assisting with the organization’s scholarship program
– Attending and representing SMS at special events including the Big Day of Giving and Race for the Arts
– Retrieving items from and returning them to the SMS storage unit
– Maintaining important dates on Google Calendar and chorus management software
– Pull monthly reports from online software for accounting
– Other duties as assigned
The Patron Services & Business Coordinator shall be responsible for providing a monthly update to the board that includes ticket sales data, donation data, and other important updates. The Patron Services & Business Coordinator shall attend monthly board meetings as requested.
Qualifications, Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:
– Associate degree or higher (or significant relative experience)
– Excellent customer service skills, written, verbal and face-to-face
– Excellent writing skills: correspondence, familiarity with marketing and grants
– Accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
– Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Ability to work remotely
– Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines in a self-directed, prioritized, and calm manner; flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities as they occur; resourcefulness and follow-through
– Experience with database and ticket management systems preferred
– Advanced computer and technology skills including Google Drive and Google Calendar, and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Knowledge of Constant Contact or similar email marketing tools
– Experience with WordPress
– Ability to learn new software and programs quickly and easily
– Experience with social media, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
– Strong research skills
– Willingness to support the organization’s mission; Interest in the arts and nonprofit sector
– Interest in music and choral arts a plus
Compensation:
$25/hour at 18 hours/week
