Fusion Art invites submissions for the 7th Annual Landscapes art competition for an online exhibition during the month of May 2022.
For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art depicting natural scenery and the physical elements of landforms such as mountains, hills, valleys, deserts, farmland, trees, rivers, lakes, ponds, forests, wilderness, polar regions, rainforests, islands and tropical landscapes.

The Visual & Media Arts Department at Long Beach City College seeks qualified individuals for the position of Art Gallery Manager. The candidate should have specialized knowledge of all aspects relating to the planning, organizing, curating, programming and directing the operations of a college art gallery/museum.
The Art Gallery Manager joins the Visual & Media Arts Department at a pivotal moment for the program. Reporting to the VMA Department Head, the Art Gallery Manager will play a key role in bringing renewed attention to the visual arts at Long Beach City College. The Art Gallery Manager brings creativity and vision to the exhibition program and works collaboratively with VMA Department faculty to develop a dynamic and rigorous program of exhibitions that enhances the department’s profile, supports curriculum and increases audience engagement.

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Art Department Head, plans, organizes, directs and participates in the operation of the College Art Gallery; and performs related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

5. Designs exhibitions and the layout and paste up of the mailer and other all related promotional and publicity materials.

10. Interacts and collaborates with Music, Theater and Dance various college departments and programs to develop exhibitions and community projects.
11. Lectures to various College and community classes and organizations to present the role and operation of the College Art Gallery. Represents Long Beach City College to the outside community to promote the gallery and its programs.
12. Hires, trains, assigns supervises and reviews the work of assigned student assistants, staff and volunteers. Disciplines and terminates staff as appropriate.
13. Completes and maintains related work and payroll time cards and records. Compiles, monitors and controls art gallery budget.
14. Purchases and maintains supplies and materials inventory.
15. Coordinates gallery security; assures proper and secure hanging and placement of art pieces.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in fine arts, studio art, art history or a related field and four years art gallery design, display and exhibit experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy.

Tubądzin Design Awards (TDA), an international competition for architects, designers and students, created to unleash their creative potential, now in the 4th edition is calling for entries.
The 4th edition of the Tubądzin Design Awards is an international competition for architects, designers and students.
Projects can be submitted in the following categories:
➜ Young Power: Category dedicated to students majoring in higher education (architecture, interior design, design). Submit your conceptual project in the areas of architecture, interior design and unusual applications of ceramic tiles!
➜ Everyday Design: Category dedicated to architects and designers. Submit your realization (or project in progress) from the area of private or public interiors concerning kitchen, bathroom or living room.
➜ Unlimited Architecture: Category dedicated to architects, interior designers and architectural offices. Submit your project (or a project in progress) from the field of cubature architecture, interior architecture, objects, elevations or unusual applications of tiles.
➜ Special category – Culture Form: Category dedicated to all groups – students, architects and designers. In this category you can submit any public or private space design inspired by culture, or even interior design elements that coexist with culture!
Submit at least one project in at least one of the TDA stages and become one of three stage winners in each category.

The competition is intended for architects, interior designers, or designers who professionally perform this profession and for students – under 30 years of age – of faculties related to architecture, interior design, or design.
The total value of awards in the TDA competition is 78 000 euro.
You can also get: trip to Tokyo, internship in Martin Duplantier Architectes in Paris and in the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, trip to the Salone del Mobile fair in Milan, high-value software sponsored by Graphisoft / WSC Sp. z o.o and CAD Projekt K&A, publications and promotion in industry magazines and social media.

Groundlings School Associate (part-time)
Perform administrative and office support activities for all adult and teen classes, including:
– process class registrations and payment plans
– engage students and student questions
– maintain the Groundlings School email
– field telephone calls
– greet and direct visitors and students
– word processing, data entry
– prep and run student shows on the Gary Austin Student Stage (check-in, ticketing, etc)
– work with teachers and other Groundlings staff on various projects
– Strong customer service and phone skills are essential, as is the ability to work with complex sales and database software. – – Tessitura experience is a big plus.

Weekend Sound Board/Projection Operator
We are looking for a part-time Sound Board & Projection Operator. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in theater productions, be able to quickly build/edit cues, and familiarity with improv comedy is recommended. We have a professional atmosphere and a fast-paced rehearsal process. Paid “hands-on” venue training will be provided prior to the start of scheduled shows.
Schedule: Ongoing Friday and Saturday nights, the current default hours are 6:30 pm to 10:15 pm, and expanding to midnight later in 2022. Earlier call times are possible depending on show rehearsal needs. Availability needed as early as 530pm needed for Fridays, and availability for Saturdays as early as 3 pm for show rehearsals. Additional shows may become available during the month on other nights.

– Mackie 24 channel consoles
– Shure Wireless Handheld and Headset Microphones
