‘IN THE CITY’:
Juliet Haas says, “Not all of us live in a City, but I’m certain most of us have at one time in our lives crossed the threshold from moutainous terrain, or embarked on a desert adventure, and slowly re-entered an awe inspiring landscape of buildings and activity unfold from that place of silence before your eyes.
It can be a striking transformation of emotion to witness a skyline of glass and metal highrise against a pre-dawn mountain backdrop with thick black clouds flowing across the scene after a solid night of rain. It heightens the senses and quickens ones pulse to descend through the clouds on a flight into a sea of glittering lights and streams of movement below, and it has always made me feel HOME.
Whatever The City means to you, that jaw dropping black shadow across gleaming asphalt and a rush of pedestrians downtown, a fantastic grafitti’d mural setting the tone of an architectural environment, wild neon reflecting into a public fountain at midnight, the construction of the new and modern invading an old neighborhood, or an out of place object set against a Boardwalk Beach, We want to see it.”
20% of artist entry fees go to charity.
10% of artist entry fees goes to the curator’s choice of charity. Haas has chosen the Joyful Heart Foundation whose vision is a world free of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse.

THE EPHEMERAL AND THE EVANESCENCE PERCEPTION
Call for Exhibition │Free entry
Accepted media: Photography, Digital Visual Design, Video
Group Exhibition in Rome or Milan city. June 2022
–
Since the Paleolithic age, man, in leaving a mark and trace of himself on a support, has always shown an interest in grasping from the experience of life what he believes to have an important meaning, attributing to it a particular value. This anthropological behavior is well testified by the history of art, behavior which, with the evolution of man, reflects that greater awareness of the concept of transience, changeability and the ephemeral state of existence of things.
It is above all to the concept of “beauty” and “good” that modern man attributes the absolute values of his existence, concepts that are still conveyed today by every medium dedicated to art, from painting to photography, from video to digital media etc ..
The very nature of many new technologies of art demonstrate, in their production process, a purpose that has to do with the evanescent physicality of things of our reality, as photography demonstrates, with its retaining on the surface what passes through an evanescent and impalpable “writing of light”.
It is quite often precisely the ephemeral state of things and the evanescent perception of them that arouse in us a passionate participation with them, useful to feed our being and to reactivate our senses.
