Artist Space Gallery is pleased to announce their 1st Botanicals online Art Competition for the month of February. The jury will select award winners in the following art categories: painting, photography, sculpture. All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate. An article about each artist will be displayed alongside the best of show and three winners. The best of show will be displayed on the poster of the exhibition. An interpretation of botanical and floral art can be included in the Botanicals theme (flowers, herbs, fruit, leaves, plants and related floral subjects). All forms of visual art are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, fiber art, collage, and installation), except sound and video art. $20 for two pieces of artwork. Deadline: February 1, 2023.

The Skirball Cultural Center seeks qualified candidates for the position of On-Call Preparator. The On-Call Preparator performs a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled duties in the preparation, installation, deinstallation, and care of objects and works of art at the museum level. This is an on-call position with a variable schedule.
Salary range: $25-$27/hour
Responsibilities
· Use best-practice methods for handling, moving, packing, and installing artwork and objects
· Safe handling and installation/deinstallation of art, artifacts, ephemera, and related materials for exhibitions
· Installation of graphics, signage, labels, and lighting
· Receive and uncrate shipments of art and related exhibition materials
· Assist in the preparation and fabrication of temporary exhibition components such as display cases, mounts, frames, pedestals, and temporary walls as needed
Qualifications
· Strong working knowledge and skills in the preparation, installation/deinstallation, and care/handling of valuable objects in a museum or gallery
· Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse cultures, ages, and economic backgrounds
· Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
· Ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner
· Knowledge of fabrication and production techniques
· Experience working with wood and machine shop tools preferred
· Knowledge of audio-visual equipment a plus
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Community Engagement duties include managing the social media/digital marketing strategies of BCSD, grant writing, implementing educational programs and initiatives, proofreading, and fundraising support.
This position offers the opportunity to work from home or the BCSD office. The applicant needs to be based in San Diego County.
Duties
1) Social Media/Digital Marketing
a. Creates content for email, social media, and social media advertising campaigns. Coordinates with organizational leadership to broadcast the content
b. Maintain social media presence, especially Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
c. Develops digital marketing strategies by selecting appropriate digital channels, identifying customers and setting goals
d. Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns against goals
2) Grant Writing
a. Assist Executive Director in researching and applying for grants
b. Manage current and new grants, submitting reports and other materials in a timely manner as requested by the granting organization
3) Fundraising support
a. Work with ED to help design fundraising campaigns and establish revenue goals
b. Refine fundraising channels for each campaign and coordinate with social media
c. Create tactics, content, and deadlines for the campaigns
d. Measure and report fundraising performance against goals
e. Assist ED in researching and writing grants
f. Assist ED and AD in setting up meetings with donors
4) Education Outreach
a. Coordinate the annual Choral Internship program
b. In conjunction with organizational leadership, develop and implement K-12 digital and in-person education and engagement initiatives
c. Establish partnership schools and visit new schools to expand the reach of programming
5) Box Office Coordinator
a. Run the ticket table at events
b. Coordinate volunteers and ushers
c. Work with graphic/web designer to bring the vision to the website
6) Editing
a. Proofread all public content including e-blasts, social media posts and ads, concert programs, etc.
b. Research and select text and translations for concerts
7) Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $20/hour (20 hours/week average)

For more than 30 years, DrawBridge has provided free expressive arts programs in homeless and domestic violence shelters, affordable housing facilities, and community centers across seven San Francisco Bay Area counties. Always free for the families we serve, DrawBridge provides children ages five and up a safe and supportive environment to connect with their community and explore playful creativity that is critical to healthy development.

Art Group Facilitators – San Francisco
Reports to: Program Manager
Status: Part-time, non-exempt; $20 per hour
Hours: 3-15 hours per week depending on program need; afternoons to early evening; some weekends as required
DrawBridge is currently seeking candidates to serve as Art Group Facilitators in San Francisco. DrawBridge Art Group Facilitators lead weekly, bi-monthly, and/or monthly art groups in Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and San Mateo counties. Training, program support, professional development opportunities, and art supplies are provided.
Essential Job Requirements
- In collaboration with the Program Manager and programs team, develops and leads weekly, bi- monthly, and/or monthly expressive art groups for children at shelters, affordable housing facilities, community centers, or at community events across the San Francisco Bay Area
- Participates in monthly staff meetings with Program Manager and attends DrawBridge trainings and professional development workshops throughout the year
- Develops and submits program plans and materials supplies requests to Program Manager as requested
- Oversees setup and breakdown of program spaces before and after each session and maintains cleanliness and organization of program areas
- Maintains and submits accurate attendance records, supplies inventory, and monthly program reports
- Assists with the distribution of program surveys and evaluations throughout the year
- Accurately tracks and submits payroll hours in a timely manner
- Notifies Program Manager immediately of schedule changes, requests, or concerns from site partners or families
- Arrives at assigned sites on time to run programs as scheduled
- Follows and abides by DrawBridge’s Covid-19 and workplace safety protocols and site partner safety protocols
- Complies with DrawBridge’s policies and procedures as summarized in the Employee Handbook
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience working with children ages 5-18, preferably in an educational or professional setting
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, sound judgment, positive attitude, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to site partner locations to produce programs
- Comfort with technology, email, zoom, and online communications
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience, training, or education in the fields of art, child development, education, psychology, or the social sciences preferred; candidates enrolled in an accredited university working toward a degree in a related field are welcomed
- Candidates bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Arabic are strongly encouraged to apply

INVISIBILTY is a gallery in-progress committed to sharing the stories of stateless persons. It is a space for you to tell your story in your own words. Our purpose is to create an experience where visitors can be fully immersed in a multi-sensory artscape of auto-biographical works, with the goal of creating an empathetic link between viewers and artists. We hope that this link will serve as a catalyst to increase engagement in political disruption pushing for progress in stateless rights in the United States.
Looking for written, spoken, visual, tactile, auditory, and digital works telling your story of being stateless in the U.S.. All ages encouraged to participate. Anonymous contributions welcome. No professional experience necessary. Written and spoken works in any and all languages welcome.
