Call for Art – Bike-pedia
The Museum of Northern California Art is seeking original artwork featuring bicycles, as a primary or secondary subject matter. All media, including art made from bicycles. This juried exhibition will coincide with Chico’s Wildflower Century Bicycle Ride and monca’s exhibit of Northern California images by Wikipedia photographer Fritz Schulenburg. The museum’s exhibition committee will make the final selections for the exhibition.
The exhibit will be held at the Museum of Northern California Art (monca) at 900 Esplanade in Chico.
ELIGIBILITY: Original works created by artists residing in Northern California, defined as San Jose, and all points north, east, and west to the state border. All exhibited artworks must remain in the exhibition until 5 p.m. on the last day of the exhibition.
Call for Artists: CICA Contemporary Art Solo Show Series Spring 2024
CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the Contemporary Art Solo Show Series and the publication. Each selected artist will have a solo exhibition for a week (Wednesday – Sunday) in the gallery space (around 44m2). The artists will be also featured in the the e-book, “CICA Art Now 2024,” which will be available via Amazon Kindle. The printed version will be available by order.

Call to Artists: Collage & Folklore Residency: Knoxville
During the Folklore & Collage Residencies, artists identify stories from communities and make art which activates these stories. Prior to arrival in Knoxville, artists will meet once virtually to meet one another and to discuss how to select the folklore on which they will focus during the residency.
During the residency, residents will make artwork (a collage or series of collages) which will be shown in exhibition at MERZ Gallery in Sanquhar, Scotland in September 2023 as part of the Celebration of Folklore. Artists will also be invited to present their work at a panel at Kolaj Fest New Orleans in June 2023. After the residency, artists will be invited to submit 3-5 collages and a statement for inclusion in a book about folklore that will be published by Kolaj Institute in 2024.
Kolaj Fest New Orleans 2023: Call for Papers, Artists & Projects
Kolaj Fest New Orleans is a multi-day festival and symposium, 7-11 June 2023. Our mission is to create a platform that allows us to explore critical issues around collage: how it is curated and presented, its role in contemporary art, and the tensions between collage as a medium, genre, community, and movement.
Our goal is to create an event that attracts a variety of people working in various capacities, such as art professionals at museums, galleries, and centers as well as academics, writers, and artists. The general public will be invited to join us for gallery visits, evening presentations, and collage making.
