Position Overview
KADIST San Francisco is seeking a highly motivated, positive, and personable person who wants to be part of an international contemporary art nonprofit organization. Reporting to the SF Director, the candidate will welcome visitors on Fridays and Saturdays and facilitate their visit and access to the Brazilian artist Jota Mombaça’s first U.S. exhibition, titled THE SINKING SHIP/PROSPERITY, which considers speculative memory, the dynamics of excess, and grieving time, and their connection to bodies of water.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as a welcoming, inclusive, and professional representative of KADIST
• Act as the first point of contact for visitors to the KADIST gallery; greet and monitor the safety of visitors during gallery hours, using the reservation system
• Provide and organize in-person gallery tours contingent on Covid-19 restrictions
• Monitor security of artworks and equipment on display
• Provide periodic attendance and participation reports
• Support exhibition outreach
• Perform occasional administrative tasks across various departments
• Assist with occasional evening in-person events such as exhibition opening

Position
The contractor position is to provide the above responsibilities for the KADIST gallery during normal hours on Fridays and Saturdays, 11:45 am-5:15 pm, October 14 through January 28, 2023 (we are closed from December 18, 2022 to January 2, 2023). Occasional evening hours, including an opening reception on October 27 and other in-person gallery events. The hours of the gallery are subject to change based on city guidelines and covid recommendations. The position is onsite at KADIST San Francisco, 3295 20th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.
PPE will be provided to all staff and all people visiting the gallery based on current guidelines. KADIST San Francisco strictly follows all health and safety protocols as recommended by the CDC, and state and local governments.

Major Gifts Officer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Actively develop individual moves management plans for a portfolio of approximately 100-150current and lapsed Leaders Circle Members who give up to $25,000 annually, including personal solicitation of education, Leaders Circle, Gala, and designated campaign gifts, with a predetermined portfolio goal.
- Gain fluency with SFJAZZ Education programs and produce any related campaign collateral as needed. Work closely with the Education Department regarding program updates, integrating staff and site visits into donor cultivation, and identifying key opportunities for campaign messaging.
- Identify and cultivate a portfolio of at least 20 new prospects for securing new annual gifts through both direct marketing and one-on-one engagement;
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Individual Giving to identify and introduce prospects for planned giving;
- Set, manage, and meet aggressive targets for annual gifts, developing an effective pipeline to the major, campaign, and planned gifts program.
- Track cultivation and stewardship activities for your portfolio in the Tessitura database.
- Work with the Associate Director of Individual Giving Director and other members of the Development team, and other key SFJAZZ Artistic, Operations, and Production staff to produce and staff special events such as receptions at concerts, salons, meet and greets, and our annual gala.
- Conduct and document systematic prospect research.
- Provide support to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Artistic Director, Director of Development, and Associate Director of Individual Giving by creating donor/prospect briefings, proposal materials, and other major donor communications.
- Support the Major Gifts Committee and other select Trustees in the cultivation and stewardship of their designated prospects for Annual Fund and campaign goals;
- Represent SFJAZZ in the concert hall and in the community, and at donor events.

Donor Services Coordinator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with gift officers, produce and distribute outgoing solicitation and stewardship mailings, both digital and print. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Analyzing/establishing criteria and extracting accurate mailing lists from the Tessitura database.
- Managing regular mail and email renewals, and pledge reminders for individual donors at the membership, digital, Leaders Circle and Board levels.
- Working with vendors, mail houses to coordinate and complete large mailings.
- Overseeing the timeline, assembly and distribution of all special donor mailings such as season catalogs, event invitations and newsletters, in conjunction with Marketing Production Manager.
- Coordinating the fulfillment of donor gifts such as CDs, art work, etc.
- Coordinating volunteers for assembly and distribution of mailings and other projects.
- Research and implement potential efficiencies or opportunities in solicitation and stewardship activities.
- Assist with compilation of analytic reports.

Wig Supervisor

Position Purpose:
The Wig Supervisor is responsible for the overall execution and implementation of the running and maintenance of the wigs, hair and makeup on all A.C.T mainstage productions. They shall maintain the integrity of the wig and hair design throughout each production as established by the Wig Master for these productions. The Wig Supervisor hires, oversees & supervises overhire wig run crew when additional positions are required. Otherwise, they shall be responsible for carrying out all duties associated with running the show. They assist actors with the application and removal of all wigs, facial hair and makeup. They are responsible for creating, documenting, and updating run of show paperwork as well as taking photographs of the actors in their character looks for the show bible. They shall work closely with Stage Management, and Wardrobe to create run tracks for overhire wig & makeup crew. They shall participate in the inventorying, upkeep and maintenance of the basement wig room supplies as well as the overall A.C.T wig stock.

Implement hair and make-up design applications as established by the Wig Master.
Work with Wig Master and Stage Management to schedule wig calls for performers during the tech, tech/ preview and performance period.
Work with the Sound Department to incorporate any microphone placement into the Wig design.
Maintain all wigs and facial hair elements as assigned, including cleaning and restyling as needed.
Assist in training actors during each production on the make-up design for the show.
Collect all wigs, hair pieces, facial hair and make-up after the closing of each main stage show.
Provide support for photo shoots, marketing and press events as assigned by Wig Master.
Hire and oversee additional run crew swings and crew members as necessary.
Assist in training wig run crew in theater and backstage etiquette and maintain this etiquette among the crew during the run.
Overall supervision of wig run crew; Duties including but not limited to, assigning run tracks to crew, working with the Wigs Master to set all crew call times, training the crew on the correct wig application, make-up technique, hair styling, and sanitation pertinent to the show, ensure the run crew maintains the integrity of the design as established by the Wigs Master, manage & collect overhire crew paperwork checking that they are appropriately filled out.
For Strand productions, this position is expected to work collaboratively and hold cross departmental responsibilities with the wardrobe crew.
Manage personnel safety and uphold safety protocols within the department. Participate in all required training.
Participates in the inventorying, upkeep and cleanliness of the Geary wig room, stock and common wig/ wardrobe areas to maintain a well-stocked, clean and organized wig room.
Participates in the maintenance of A.C.T wig stock as assigned by Wigs Master.
Communicate regularly with Wig Master and Costume Shop Head on any pertinent production related matters.
Notifies Wig Master immediately of any damage to wigs or show-related incidents and issues.
