The Creative Producer plays a pivotal role in OMCA’s digital strategy, by developing and guiding others in the creation of engaging and strategic video content. The Museum’s dynamic audio/visual content spans elevating in-gallery experiences, external marketing and communications, and institutional resources. In this position, you will work closely with cross functional teams to create media assets that are on brand, meet the stated objectives, and can be re-purposed across multiple platforms when required.

Director of Facilities and Safety
The Director of Facilities & Safety is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of the Museum’s buildings and building systems, including the Conservation Lab and Collections Research Center, and internal and external Museum event production functions. The position creates a safe and secure physical environment for Museum staff, volunteers, visitors and collections. The position also collaborates in the successful implementation of the Museum’s wide variety of programs, events, and exhibits, and ensures that the physical environment reflects the Museum’s mission, vision, and visitor-centered philosophy of being a museum, garden, and gathering place for the community. The position facilitates capital improvements and major facilities projects, including construction, renovations, and upgrades. The position is the main point of contact for the City of Oakland’s Public Works department for major repairs and capital improvements.
This position leads a five-person team that directly manages the Museum’s buildings, gardens and living collections, overall safety, and external and internal events operations functions. The Museum’s buildings are primarily owned by the City of Oakland and its main campus location is a historic concrete structure in the brutalist architectural style, completed in 1969.
Director of Learning, Experience and Programming
The Director of Learning, Experience and Programming creates and executes the institution-wide strategy that brings together in-gallery and exhibition experiences and campus programming to support OMCA’s brand as a museum, garden and gathering place and to advance its social impact of building trust, understanding, and connection between people and communities. Working in close partnership with the Chief Content Officer, the Director of Content Development, and program, curatorial, and collections staff, the Director oversees programming and interpretive activities that are imbued with a unified theory of learning and clearly articulated impact and outcomes, and that advance OMCA’s vision to create personal, accessible, imaginative and relevant experiences for all visitors.
Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and executive level staff including managing calendars; organizing Board and Board committee meetings, materials and minutes; and assisting with other duties including travel arrangements, meeting hospitality, and producing presentations and correspondence. The position is responsible for managing institutional memberships and subscriptions and gathering data related to surveys that the museum participates in from across the industry. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and demonstrate problem-solving with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Dream A World Education (DAWE) is a non-profit 501c3 making a difference in the lives of children through arts-based social-emotional education. We are based in Los Angeles, operating since 2008 in public schools and are launching Secrets of the Heart™ TV, an online hybrid web-based subscription program for public and private schools and the homeschool market. We are in 40 schools and community organizations and are expanding nationally and internationally. The program is currently designed specifically for children TK, K and 1st grade and will be expanding into all lower elementary grade levels. Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a conscientious individual who has worked within the arts, has a knowledge of the Common Core Standards in ELA, National, and California Visual and Performing Arts Standards, and Southern Poverty Law Center Social Justice Standards to address curriculum needs; liaison with school administration, classroom teachers and other DAWE staff; and perform various tasks including correspondence, technological support and other work assigned by the Executive Director. The Program Operations Coordinator will understand the history and mission of the organization and programming. They will be an important member of the organization with the possibility of advancement. They will work closely with the Executive Director creating and cultivating meaningful arts education for students.
The key areas of responsibilities include:
-Assist the Executive Director with creation of curriculum and video production
-Maintain relationships with current prospective education partners
-Interact with teachers and organizational staff to facilitate a smooth experience with our subscription programming
-Correspond and communicate with stakeholders
-Maintain digital files, organizing Google Drive/DropBox
-Ensure a positive experience and first impression with all clients and partners
-Be persistent and enthusiastic and have the ability to engage, interact, and respond effectively with stakeholders in a
manner that motivates, informs and inspires
-Act as a brand ambassador when interacting with community, expressing the philosophy and ideals of the organization
-Coordinate elements for and assist with events and conferences (virtual or on-site whenacceptable again)
-Create monthly newsletters for educational partners and oversee Constant Contact data entry
-Create data information sheets with schools, contact information, and demographics

-Align programming to standards and write lesson plans or curriculum guides for future programing
-Conduct principal/teacher/parent participant surveys and maintain survey data
-Create graphics for online and print marketing
-Maintain WordPress site and subscription registrations on backend of website and communicate with web-master when

Skills and Experience:
Requires 3-5 years of experience in arts education/administration
-Bachelor’s degree
-A history of working within the arts
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Ability to multi-task, have strong organization skills, and be detail-oriented
-Have experience with Canva (or other graphic creation software), Loom (or other recording software), Social Champ
(or other social media software), Microsoft Word, Excel, Constant Contact, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Mac Graphics

International Art Competition Botanicals
Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 3rd “Botanicals” Online Art Competition for the month of July 2021. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The Botanicals theme may include any work with interpretation of botanical and floral art (flowers, herbs, fruit, leaves, plants and related floral subcjects). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work.
