The Director of Learning, Experience and Programming creates and executes the institution-wide strategy that brings together in-gallery and exhibition experiences and campus programming to support OMCA’s brand as a museum, garden and gathering place and to advance its social impact of building trust, understanding, and connection between people and communities. Working in close partnership with the Chief Content Officer, the Director of Content Development, and program, curatorial, and collections staff, the Director oversees programming and interpretive activities that are imbued with a unified theory of learning and clearly articulated impact and outcomes, and that advance OMCA’s vision to create personal, accessible, imaginative and relevant experiences for all visitors.

Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and executive level staff including managing calendars; organizing Board and Board committee meetings, materials and minutes; and assisting with other duties including travel arrangements, meeting hospitality, and producing presentations and correspondence. The position is responsible for managing institutional memberships and subscriptions and gathering data related to surveys that the museum participates in from across the industry. Dream A World Education (DAWE) is a non-profit 501c3 making a difference in the lives of children through arts-based social-emotional education. We are based in Los Angeles, operating since 2008 in public schools and are launching Secrets of the Heart™ TV, an online hybrid web-based subscription program for public and private schools and the homeschool market. We are in 40 schools and community organizations and are expanding nationally and internationally. The program is currently designed specifically for children TK, K and 1st grade and will be expanding into all lower elementary grade levels. Salary: $20K (minimum 20 hours/week with potential for full time — primarily remote and onsite as required) Position will start immediately upon hire.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a conscientious individual who has worked within the arts, has a knowledge of the Common Core Standards in ELA, National, and California Visual and Performing Arts Standards, and Southern Poverty Law Center Social Justice Standards to address curriculum needs; liaison with school administration, classroom teachers and other DAWE staff; and perform various tasks including correspondence, technological support and other work assigned by the Executive Director. The Program Operations Coordinator will understand the history and mission of the organization and programming. They will be an important member of the organization with the possibility of advancement. They will work closely with the Executive Director creating and cultivating meaningful arts education for students.
The key areas of responsibilities include:
-Assist the Executive Director with creation of curriculum and video production
-Maintain relationships with current prospective education partners
-Interact with teachers and organizational staff to facilitate a smooth experience with our subscription programming
-Correspond and communicate with stakeholders
-Maintain digital files, organizing Google Drive/DropBox
-Ensure a positive experience and first impression with all clients and partners

Skills and Experience:
Requires 3-5 years of experience in arts education/administration

Position Description: The Program & Education Manager develops, implements, and manages all Museum public & education programs and group tours. This position supervises the Education Coordinator, and is responsible for researching, writing, and managing all program & education grants. This position requires working knowledge of State Common Core Standards and integrates these Standards into Museum education programs. This position works closely with Museum curators and staff to develop programs that are inclusive and support the organization’s mission.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Public & Education Programs:
· Develop, plan, and implement a vibrant and regular schedule of both virtual and in-person public and educational programs, including social events, tours, lectures, performances, panel discussions & film.
· Collaborate with staff to ensure programs are inclusive and provide a welcoming environment for all visitors.
· Work with the Executive Director, Associate Director & Curator of History, and Development Manager to identify and solicit grant and sponsorship funding in support of public & education programs.
· Supervise Education Coordinator.
· Collaborate with curators, artists, and outside advisors to design virtual and in-person programs that engage diverse audiences to enhance and/or supplement exhibition content.
· Collect data and write reports that provide information for future program strategy.
· Manage the Museum’s art education programs, including the Art4Kids grant supporting our 5th & 6th grade visual arts program. Art4Kids funds the costs of bringing the students to the museum, as well as funding teaching artists to provide in-person instruction at the school for hands-on art lessons following State Common Core Standards. The lessons are generally tied to a current exhibition.
· Manage program & education professional service contracts with teaching artists, panelists, performers, vendors, and consultants.
· Supervise and evaluate teaching artists’ performance through regular observations and provide direct feedback to them in a timely manner.
· Responsible for ensuring all required program permits, licenses, contracts, insurance, and equipment are obtained for each program or event.
· Work with Membership & Volunteer Coordinator to ensure program volunteers are recruited, trained, and scheduled sufficiently to support all programs.
· Attend programs to facilitate the best experience for program participants and guests, and to provide a basis for evaluation of the program.
· Provide Museum marketing staff with content, newsletter articles and images about programs with enough lead time to effectively market the event.
· Serve as the main contact for program-related inquiries.
· Participate in program related media interviews as needed.
Tour Program:
· Manage tour program.
· Schedule all tours.
· Lead tours if needed.
· Work with Membership & Volunteer Coordinator to ensure docents are recruited, well-trained, and scheduled sufficiently to support tours.
· Prepare instructional materials for docents and teachers, including docent guides for major exhibitions.
· Develop and facilitate trainings for museum docents.
· Evaluate docent performance through regular observations and provide direct feedback to them in a timely manner.
· Conduct surveys after tours and apply the feedback to future programs.
Office Administration:
· Develop proposals for funding, including grants, foundation support, and sponsorships.
· Supervise Education Coordinator and teaching artists.
· Develop and manage the Program & Education Department budget.
· Compile program attendance data for evaluation purposes, grant reporting and grant proposals.
· Network with local artists, institutions, organizations, and community members.
· Stay informed about public programs at other Bay Area Museums and occasionally attend their programs.
· Provide front desk backup and Visitor Services support as needed for programs.
· Update shared calendar with all scheduled Museum tours, trainings, events, and programs in a timely manner.
· Register visitors for programs and events.
· Perform other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position required. Knowledge of Museum & Art Education theory preferred. Event planning experience preferred. Knowledge of the Bay Area Region and Sonoma County schools preferred. Demonstrated enthusiastic interest in museum education preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary range is $54,080 to $58,240 per year. Full time Museum employees are eligible for medical, dental, FSA, vacation and sick leave as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
