Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an art call for the gallery’s 14th Annual “Animals” Online Juried Art Competition for possible inclusion in the Gallery’s October 2024 online group art exhibition.
Both 2D & 3D artists (including photography & digital art), regardless of where they reside, are invited to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational or abstract art. The “Animals” theme will be the artist’s interpretation and depiction of animal art. Animal subjects include any living organisms, mammals, birds, insects and any animals that may also live in water.
Best in Show winner will receive a cash prize. Winners receive extensive worldwide publicity and promotion.
Entry Fees: $18.00 for 1 to 2 entries / $26.00 for 3 to 5 entries. Early entry and art student discounts.

The Skirball Cultural Center seeks a Project Director, Core Renewal Project through Fall 2030. Reporting to the President and CEO, this position will lead the development and day-to-day management of the Skirball’s reimagined core exhibition—managing the conceptualization, design, and implementation—that will attract and engage a diverse audience, build relationships with those who share the organization’s values, and provide a one-of-a-kind experience that distinguishes the Skirball among Jewish and other cultural institutions in Los Angeles and around the world.
Starting salary: $160,000

he Skirball Cultural Center seeks to engage a two-year Community Connections Research Fellow to explore the ongoing and historic connections between Black and Jewish communities, both nationally and in Southern California. The fellowship’s focus will be on conducting an extensive historiography and literature review and identifying contemporary scholars, artists, collections, and institutions whose artifactual holdings or work reflect these histories. Reporting to the Chief Curator, the Research Fellow also will develop four exhibition concepts that align with the Skirball’s mission as a Jewish American cultural institution that celebrates discovery and hope, fosters human connections across generations and communities, and inspires visitors to help build a more just society.
Contract Timeframe: Summer 2024 through Summer 2026
Compensation: Research Fellow will receive a monthly stipend of $4,500-$5,800, based on prior academic and professional experience. Additional funds available for travel research.
