Artist Space Gallery is pleased to announce our 2nd Black & White online Art Competition for the month of April 2024. In addition to the selected artists, the jury will select award winners in the following art categories: painting, photography, sculpture. All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate. An article about each artist will be displayed alongside the best of show and three winners. Best of Show will be displayed on the poster of the exhibition. A strict black & white theme will be applied and only works incorporating black, white, or shades of gray will be allowed. Executive Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing the Executive Office and for providing administrative support to the Executive Office, which includes the President and CEO, the Chief Impact Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages all communications for the Executive Office including correspondence, compiling reports and customer relations.
2. Manages the Executive Office calendars, all travel and meeting arrangements as well as logistical support for on-site meetings.
3. Coordinates scheduling of and records minutes for quarterly Board and monthly Board Committee meetings. Assists in logistics for quarterly Board meetings, including on-site and off-site catering. Manages schedule of periodic one-on-one meetings between President/CEO and board members.
4. Prepares briefing and presentation materials and itineraries for meetings, speaking engagements and travel.
5. Provides administrative support to the Executive Office in preparation and collection of financial information and reports.
6. Maintains knowledge of organization/departmental structures and staffing and communicates with all staff and Sr. Staff members as required. Schedules and coordinates monthly All Staff meetings and weekly executive leadership team meetings. Provides support for annual holiday gatherings.
7. Ensures an open door policy is maintained for the President/CEO and interacts with all levels of Museum constituents including Board members, donors, staff, and volunteers.
8. Maintains communication and coordination with required external associations and organizations that the Executive Office interacts with on an ongoing basis.
9. Deals with confidential matters.
10. May require occasional travel to off-site venues for Board Meetings and will include some evening and/or weekend hours to assist as needed with member/donor events, exhibition openings, programs and various meetings. Regular schedule is Monday – Friday with hybrid option to work from home up to 2 days per week.
11. Staff members must be able to work with visitors of all ages to support the various events sponsored by the National Museum. Each staff member will be expected to work on a minimum of three museum-wide events per year:
a) National Museum’s Gala Dinner & Silent Auction – (off-site) typically held in the Spring (April-May)
b) National Museum’s Family Festival Day- Oshogatsu Festival (1st Sunday in January)
c) National Museum’s Family Festival Day- Natsumatsuri Festival (Saturday in August)

Job Summary
The Development Manager’s primary responsibility is to plan and executive a program to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and funders to YMCO to support the educational programs and mission.
The Development Manager is a frontline fundraiser who will work with a range of donors, individual and institutional, to build the organization’s activities and systems to support a thriving philanthropic program. Responsibilities
– Develop, manage, execute, and evaluate strategies for YMCO’s philanthropic programs.
– Work collaboratively with the President & Artistic Director, Finance & Operation Manager, the Board of Directors, YMCO staff, the faculty, alums, and parents to fulfill philanthropic goals and objectives.
– Carefully steward, renew, and upgrade current donors and funders, demonstrating to them the impact of their gifts.
– Identify new donors and funder prospects and develop individualized strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
– Manage the overall development operations, including the donor database and online giving technologies, to ensure that gifts are processed and acknowledged appropriately, and provide needed reports and analysis.
– Create and execute donor communications, including event invitations, newsletters, emails, and other connection opportunities.
– Manage revenue and expense budgets and handle regular reconciliations with finance.
– Use a variety of techniques and approaches to build relationships with and solicit donors.
– Organize volunteers and Board Members to work effectively with staff to build donor relationships.
– Create and execute fundraising and cultivation events for donors and prospects.
– Enhance the visibility of the organization in the community and represent the organization at key community and school-based events.

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
– 5–7 years of experience working in all areas of fund development, preferably with experience in educational institutions or performing arts organizations.

Earplay’s Executive Director is a part-time position that reports to the Earplay Board of Directors. The Executive Director (ED) is the chief administrative and development officer of the organization, maintaining Earplay’s visible presence in the community, operating the organization on a day-to-day basis, providing leadership in the organization’s fiscal growth, maintaining and enhancing the Earplay brand, and managing relationships with audience members, musicians, donors and other stakeholders.
The ED executes the vision and strategy of the organization and is the primary public spokesperson for the organization in communications with donors, volunteers, existing and potential collaborators, local, regional and national organizations, and the public. The ED strives for the organization’s success in the areas listed below.
Development
Plan, supervise, and implement grant writing to fund program plans.
Identify and execute donor relation strategies that will result in developing a broader network of individual donors, and nurturing the current donor base in order to meet or exceed goals.
Identify and execute corporate donor strategies in order to generate corporate gifts and sponsorships.
Coordinate gift acceptance and management, and acknowledgement and donor recognition.
Work to maximize sources of earned income.
Explore and develop additional sources of funding.
Marketing
Maintain and enhance the Earplay brand, and ensure that all marketing and public relations efforts provide consistent presentation of that brand to the public.
Oversee development and maintenance of website, social media and print based materials, and execute direct marketing and social media campaigns.
Maintain positive media relations, identifying opportunities to broaden the Earplay brand and mission through exposure in San Francisco Bay Area media outlets.
Community Relations
Act as a principal spokesperson for the organization to the media, the corporate community, government agencies, foundations and supporters.
Determine the direction of and execute community outreach efforts in conjunction with Board.
Develop ongoing relationships and identify collaborative opportunities with other arts and community organizations consistent with the Earplay mission.
Be an active participant in the local arts community.
Artistic Administration
Work in close coordination with the Programming Committee and other artistic personnel in repertoire development, selection of venues, and hiring of guest artists.
Contract with performance and rehearsal venues, guest artists, and ensemble personnel.
Oversee rental, purchase, licensing and distribution of print or digital music required for performance.
Oversee venue production and other staff in all aspects of concert production and ticket sales.
Financial Management
Lead the annual budget process.
Provide, in consultation with the Treasurer, regular reporting on the organization’s financial performance and condition.
Ensure timely completion and submission of annual year-end report and appropriate tax filings.
Manage, in consultation with the Treasurer, accounting activities such as bookkeeping, monitoring receivables and payables, payroll processing, check writing, and account reconciliation.
Hire, train, manage and evaluate any non-artistic staff.
Manage employee compensation and benefits.
Board Relations
Actively participate in monthly Board meetings as an ex officio member of the Board of Directors.
Work with the Board to develop and manage the organization’s strategic plan.
Work with Board committees to ensure that strategic planning and policies align with the mission and vision of the organization.
Assist in identifying, recruiting and developing new members for the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
Strong experience in non-profit management, or the equivalent in the private sector, including: successful fund raising from public and private sources; motivational leadership and management of board and staff resources; financial management, including budgeting and performance measurement; marketing, public relations and branding; effective collaboration with Boards of Directors.
Passion for the arts as an important part of the community at large, including, ideally, knowledge and understanding of contemporary music concerns.
Ability to work in close partnership with a programming committee and other artistic personnel.
Exemplary communication skills, including public speaking and writing, and an ability to build relationships with community leaders, business executives, foundation officials, donors, and the media.
Working knowledge of performing arts management.
Residence in the San Francisco Bay Area is essential.

Salary Range

Visit local organizations and engage teens and young adults in singing. Material may include musical theater songs, pop music, or other styles of music depending on the request of the organization and the interest of the participants.
Vocal instructor may be paired with a dance instructor to conduct Musical Theater workshops and residencies involving both singing and dancing.
Teaching artist must be able to play piano well enough to conduct warm ups and provide basic accompaniment as needed.
Teaching artist should cater the materials to the youths’ interests and abilities to help promote crucial life skills and to have fun!
Workshops and residency sessions may be 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Residencies may last 2-8 weeks.
STORYTELLING WORKSHOP OR RESIDENCY

Workshops and residency sessions may be 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Residencies may last 2-8 weeks.
THEATER GAMES & IMPROV WORKSHOP OR RESIDENCY
Plan and implement program content in collaboration with Segerstrom Center staff, outside organization staff and partner teaching artist. Curriculum may be provided for this program or teaching artists may be asked to create curriculum as needed, depending on experience and expertise level.
Teaching artists visit local organizations and teach the basic building blocks of theater and improvisation through games, exercises, scene and/or monologue work.
Artists will coach youth on how to deliver their story to an audience, building confidence and public speaking skills. In order to build these skills, artists should utilize building blocks of theater, theater games and improvisation exercises.
Workshops and residency sessions may be 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Residencies may last 2-8 weeks.
DANCE WORKSHOP OR RESIDENCY
Plan and implement program content in collaboration with Segerstrom Center staff, outside organization staff and partner teaching artist. Curriculum may be provided for this program or teaching artists may be asked to create curriculum as needed, depending on experience and expertise level.
Teaching artists visit local organizations and instruct teens and young adults in their dance style, teaching them not only routines/dance numbers, but the building blocks of dance so that they may choreograph their own piece.
Teaching artist should be able to cater their work to the interest and skill level of the participants.
Dance instructor may be paired with a vocal instructor to conduct Musical Theater workshops and residencies involving both singing and dancing.
Residencies last a minimum of four, 1–2-hour sessions and include a culminating presentation for peers, family, friends, and organization stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge, expertise, and passion for their art discipline
Experience working as a Teaching Artist or Classroom Teacher, or teaching in a comparable environment (preferred)
Experience working with diverse populations, including high need and high-risk youth and young adults (preferred)
Strong classroom management skills while working with diverse students of varying degrees of experience levels and adaptable to a wide range of teaching conditions and learning styles.
Exhibit a strong passion for teaching and a warm, respectful, and trustworthy rapport with students and other stakeholders.
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with external partners and stakeholders and represent Segerstrom Center in a professional manner.

Experience working with English language learners and ability to speak Spanish or other coming spoken language in our community is a plus
