CLARA is currently seeking an Education Programs Manager to provide on-the-ground support for our nonprofit’s thriving, rapidly-growing arts education initiatives. This position will work with our education director, teaching artists, and other stakeholders to schedule and implement a variety of CLARA-focused programs in local schools.
A complete list of CLARA education programs and expected programmatic responsibilities can be found here; oversight of these programs will be split between this position and an existing program manager, with programs being assigned based on their unique skills and experience. IN ALL CASES, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Have knowledge and experience working in the education sector (experience particularly in arts education preferred).
- Have knowledge and experience (as teacher or performer) of diverse art forms.
- Have passion for performing arts, and enthusiasm for restoring those subjects to the classroom.
- Have some background or understanding of theatrical production.
- Be proficient in the Google and MS Office suites including Google Docs, Sheets, Presentations and their MS Office counterparts.
- Consider themselves tech-confident, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Possess great communication skills and strong follow-up ability.
Position will require candidate to visit school sites on a regular basis, so reliable access to independent transportation is key. Also essential: enjoyment of young people and some past professional experience working with them.
Hours & Compensation: This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, a portion of which may be carried out as remote work. The position is salaried, with compensation set at $60,000 / year plus benefits.
