Capital Dance Project (CDP) is seeking Sacramento-based visual artists, musicians, spoken-word artists, designers, and creatives of all other mediums who are excited about a unique collaborative opportunity. Each of CDP’s resident choreographers will select one local artist or group to co-create an original work to premiere at Behind the Barre, CDP’s outdoor festival at the Red Museum in September 2026.

Ars Gratia Artis is an annual fundraiser to support programs at Sacramento Fine Arts Center. There is no online entry for this show. All donated art should be delivered to Sacramento Fine Arts Center no later than August 1st. Early donations will be used in promotional materials.

Vision(ary) 2026: Raising Our Voices
Vision(ary) is our museum’s 7th annual summer public art exhibition dedicated to the art of visual storytelling. Juried by Elizabeth Krist (former Senior Photo Editor with National Geographic) this public art installation features individual exhibitions with distinct photographic styles, including banners hung on light standards and art installations around the Griffin Museum in Winchester, MA.
For its 2026 edition, Raising Our Voices, artists are encouraged to submit a complete or near-to-completion project that falls within the umbrella of advocacy and social justice.

Call For Musicians, SCNA’s Music in the Park
Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association (SCNA) seeks qualified groups to deliver dynamic entertainment in our 2026 Music in the Park Concert Series.
This is a vibrant, free, family-friendly concert series that brings an estimated 300+ residents of Curtis Park and surrounding communities together for unforgettable summer experiences. These events are the highlight of the season, drawing neighbors who come to picnic, dance, and socialize in the park. A variety of food trucks featuring popular local vendors offer delicious options throughout the event. SCNA hosts a variety of music genres, exciting new bands, a dynamic atmosphere and a diverse musical experience for all ages.
Location: Curtis Park, Sacramento 3349 West Curtis Drive, Sacramento, CA 95818.
We provide:
- 20 x 20 Stage, sufficient electrical power, basic sound equipment (speakers, subs, microphone package, generator, engineer with set up and strike).
All other requirements for the entertainment shall be provided by the bidder.
What you provide:
- Kids Performer: 2 :15 Minute sets for a total of ½ hour Fee: Up to $250 per concert
- Main Performer 2- :45 Minute sets Fee: Up to $1,200 per concert
Dates: June 28, July 26, August 30, 2026
Schedule: Set up 4pm – 6pm, Performance 6pm – 8pm, Tear Down 8pm – 9pm

- Feasibility of the band or music ensemble to deliver high quality performance

About Us:
Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Associate (SCNA), a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1981 by neighborhood volunteers with a vision to save the historic Sierra School. SCNA has maintained the 102-year-old Sierra 2 Center, working to ensure its continued service as a regional incubator for the arts, education, culture, & community activities. In addition to furthering classes at the Learnery Creative Lab & the Senior Center, the Center offers leased tenant space to 10 non profits and small businesses along with 35 regional arts groups who annually rent one of three dance/fitness studios, a 296- seat theater, along with affordable rooms for art, music and rehearsal, performances, events, meetings, & classes of all kinds.
Call For Local Artisan Vendors, Curtis Fest 2026
Celebrate art and community with us as a vendor at SCNAs annual Curtis Fest Artisan Fair. This outdoor festival held in beautiful William Curtis Park in Sacramento includes fun activities for children, music and entertainment, food, and most importantly local Sacramento creatives! Several hundred visitors attend the event each year and it is free to the public.
Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association’s annual Curtis Fest Artisan Fair will take place on Sunday, May 17th from 10am-4pm in William Curtis Park, near Sutterville Road and Franklin Blvd. in Sacramento, California. Original handmade or local goods only. No mass-produced goods or artwork are allowed. Also, participants should not sell the work of other artists
Details for Vendors:
Booths are around 10×10 feet.
$75 for single business non-food booths.
$125 for prepared/packaged food booths.
All goods and foods must be handmade and local.
Food truck vendors will be onsite for made-to-order food.
Event is outdoors and weather is different each year.
You will be given a designated space. No chairs, table, umbrella, electricity, or wifi are supplied.
Refund Policy
We cannot offer refunds if the event gets cancelled. Cancellations will only happen in the event of severe weather or unforeseen issue with the venue. In the event of a cancellation, vendors will be invited to participate in the rescheduled event at no additional cost.

Accounting Officer- Telework Option
This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three days per week in accordance with Statewide Telework Policy, with required in-office attendance at the Sacramento office on Wednesdays and Thursdays and/or as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2026, telework eligibility will be reduced to one day per week, with in-office attendance required four (4) days per week and/or as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment.
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor (SUP) I in the Operations Unit, the Accounting Officer (AO) Specialist at California Arts Council (CAC) performs professional accounting work of average difficulty often utilizing the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), the Grant Management System (GMS) and serves as liaison to Contracted Fiscal Services (CFS) that performs accounting functions for CAC.
