Kolaj Institute seeks short films and other sorts of moving images for a screening as part of Kolaj Fest New Orleans. Collage on Screen will take place at 5:30PM on 8 June 2023 at Broad Theatre in New Orleans. Collage on Screen will focus on works that are generally between 1 and 15 minutes long. (The organizers may ask the creators for an excerpt from work if it is longer than 15 minutes.) Our goal is to showcase the diversity of this medium. Afterwards we will host The Pixel Party at 7PM at The Broadside, next door to the theater, which will feature submitted gifs projected onto the walls and have live music, food and a cash bar. The films will be featured in the festival program book. Artists and Makers are welcome to attend and participate in a panel discussion after the screening, but attendance is not required. Collage as Street Art Residency: New Orleans
A week-long, in-person residency that coincides with Kolaj Fest New Orleans (7-11 June 2023), during which artists will explore the city, learn about the history and materials of street art, and make artwork for public display that Kolaj Fest attendees and New Orleanians will be able to view.
Call to Mariachi Instructors
Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture and the Alliance for Hispanic Advancement are looking for teachers to teach a youth mariachi program for junior high and high school students. All instruments will be provided to students as part of the program. One or more teachers will be hired to provide lessons on weekdays after school and/or weekends as an after school program. Teachers do not have to be certified instructors.Knowledge of the instruments, the ability to read music and the ability to teach young people is required. Compensation will be based on knowledge and experience. Our goal is to build a tradition of mariachi music in the Yuba-Sutter area, promoting the culture and music of the Hispanic community. Instruction will take place at three different school locations in and near Marysville, CA.

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the International Exhibition “Form 2023.” The exhibition covers topics of forms, shapes, and media. We are open to photography, 2D digital art, video art, interactive art, painting, sculpture and installation art.

Selected works will be printed in 10×15 or 10×10 inches, framed, and installed by our curators & assistants. If requested by the artist, works can be printed and framed in different sizes. Additional fees may apply.

We will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screened via a projector. If the work is required to be screened via a projector exclusively, or more than two projectors/monitors are needed, please indicate the special requirements in the submission email. Additional fees may apply.
-Physical Works (Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, and Installation Art)
The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.

Global Meltdown III
Global Meltdown – This call is for a thematic exhibition of artwork related to the the Global Climate Crisis. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery, June 22 – July 22, 2023 and is open to all interpretations of the concept Global Meltdown Crisis. Entry is open to all artists working in any media.
