With support from the California Arts Council, the Ventura County Arts Council will expand our partnership with the county government, a relationship that recently provided several re-granting opportunities. With the Arts & Culture Manager, we’ll work together to increase VCAC’s operating capital. With an expanded and consistent donor base, VCAC will become less dependent on grant revenue and on programming for earned income. We will continue prioritizing areas of the county that represent the lowest quartiles on the HPI with our arts programming. We will keep advocating for additional county money to re-grant to individual artists. To ensure the county continues matching re-granting dollars we raise to assist smaller arts non-profits and community arts organizations, we will keep applying for those funds and working closely with the recipient groups to help them build capacity.
