Our theatre productions include THE JOY RIDE, born during the pandemic. When theatres were shut down, we found a way to present art to the public safely, outdoors with a convertible car as the stage. LUMINOUS STREETS, centered on women’s survival and pursuit of justice, guides audiences on a walking tour through multiple plays at unique venues. MATRIARCH, series of monologues written by prominent LA-based writers addressing important matters necessary to create justice. REALM OF THE RIVER, a new play, explores the lives of three women bonded through the determination to enjoy life, stay grounded and overcome darkness. WOMEN AT WORK, our new works development initiative, offers stage and space to powerful women writers of Los Angeles to pilot new work and receive feedback from audiences and fellow artists.

Our youth program is ROOTS TO SKY: These eight-week summer creative writing workshops are offered for free to high school students in underserved neighborhoods including Highland Park where we partner with PopHop Books Co-Op. They do more than teach literacy; they provide youth with tools to process trauma and find healing through writing, cultivating a sense of agency and pride. Participants are paid a stipend and become published writers with a printed anthology. I LOVE MYSELF GOLDEN, our creative writing and theatre workshops at the women’s prison in Chino, focuses on healing and creative writing. Integrating theatre, we provide lifelong tools, uplift the mental and spiritual well-being of participants, providing a bridge for successful re-entry. This program allows us to engage 2,000+ residents annually, primarily in Los Angeles County’s SPA 3 and SPA 4 regions. One of our core programs is new work development, and through the ECLIPSE creative writing workshop for women 18 & over, writers can workshop and develop new work which often leads to the projects being produced.
