Skid Row Brigade, Inc. provides year-round community engagement services that support the social-emotional well-being and development of children and families in underserved communities. Our programs are designed to create safe, welcoming environments where youth can learn, grow, and build positive relationships through consistent and meaningful engagement.

A key focus of our work is arts programming, which includes structured art workshops and hands-on art lessons that encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Through painting, drawing, and collaborative art projects, youth are given the opportunity to explore their ideas, process emotions, and develop a sense of identity and accomplishment. These activities are intentionally designed to support social-emotional learning, helping participants build self-awareness, resilience, and communication skills.

In addition to arts programming, we offer basketball skill clinics and mentorship opportunities that promote teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Mentors provide guidance and encouragement, helping youth develop positive decision-making skills and a stronger sense of self-efficacy.

Our community engagement events also address immediate needs by providing hot meals, groceries, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and school supplies to families experiencing economic hardship. By combining enrichment activities with direct resource distribution, we create a holistic program that supports both short-term stability and long-term growth.

Through our integrated approach centered on art, mentorship, and community support, we empower youth and families, strengthen community connections, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities in underserved communities.
