With support from the California Arts Council, San Diego Made will support the general operations of the San Diego Made Factory, an affordable and accessible creative hub located in San Diego’s Promise Zone. Serving more than 13,000 community members annually, the Factory provides subsidized studio space, cultural programming, workshops, exhibitions, and community events that uplift local artists, creative small businesses, and historically under-resourced communities. Grant funds will help sustain key operational expenses, including staffing, facility costs, accessibility accommodations, and community programming infrastructure. Through sliding scale affordability initiatives, multilingual outreach, ADA-accessible facilities, and community-informed programming, San Diego Made works to ensure that artists and community members of all backgrounds and abilities have equitable access to creative opportunities, cultural participation, and supportive spaces that strengthen the local arts ecosystem.
