With support from the California Arts Council, Sam First – Los Angeles’ leading nonprofit live jazz venue – will be able to provide over 250 live jazz shows, hire more than 300 individual musicians, provide weekly community jazz jam sessions, and engage over 15,000 audience members in live jazz performance – in-person and via livestream. The funds will support general operating expenses, helping Sam First to continue to grow as a vital part of Los Angeles’ live jazz infrastructure and economy.
