The S.W.A.E. Foundation’s core program is the Elevate Excellence Youth Arts Academy, a structured arts and leadership development program serving teen girls ages 13 to 17 in underserved Los Angeles Inglewood community. The Academy provides a 6-week cohort experience integrating spoken word, performance arts, and creative storytelling as the primary tools for building confidence, civic voice, and community leadership. Participants engage in workshops covering public speaking, wellness, and advocacy, and develop individual community impact projects mentored by program facilitators. The cohort culminates in a platform pitch competition where participants present their projects and compete for seed funding to implement their ideas locally. Through this model, the Academy creates a pipeline of young women leaders who are equipped to serve and uplift their California communities through the power of artistic expression.
