With support from the California Arts Council, Prospect Art will strengthen its organizational capacity to provide accessible public programming, artist commissions, critical writing, exhibitions, and curatorial opportunities for underrepresented contemporary artists. Based in Los Angeles, Prospect Art supports artists working outside traditional commercial systems through programs that connect artists with writers, curators, and public audiences. CAC funding will support core operational expenses including administration, communications, artist outreach, digital accessibility improvements, and program coordination across Prospect Art’s year-round initiatives including NEW WORK, ONE WORK, BROADCAST, and EXHIBITION. These programs provide artists with professional visibility, commissioned writing, public engagement opportunities, and direct support for the creation and presentation of new work. This funding will help sustain an artist-centered infrastructure focused on accessibility, equitable participation, and long-term cultural engagement.
Providing new project grants to visual artist, publishing monthly articles on artists works, providing public webcast discussions with artists and exhibitions.
