With support from the California Arts Council Piece by Piece will fund general operating costs to provide free therapeutic mosaic arts workshops for under-resourced Angelinos (in-studio / in community) who have experienced homelessness, economic hardship, traumatic life events (including military service) or chronic emotional and/or physical disabilities who have little to no access to the arts. Participants come primarily from communities like Skid Row and the Figueroa Corridor, are predominantly People of Color (Black 24%, Latinx 67%), rely on supportive housing, and live on social benefits with very limited incomes.

Workshops enable participants to experience healing through art while acquiring marketable skills and a pathway to earned income to help rebuild their lives. As participants advance their skills they may sell their creations through our online store and/or earn hourly wages working in our Social Enterprise.
