California Arts Council grant funds will support Mono Art Council’s arts education, community programming, artist support, and regional partnerships efforts across Mono County. Funding will expand equitable access to arts and cultural opportunities in rural and geographically isolated communities through in-school arts education, artist-led workshops, exhibitions, cultural events, advocacy, and youth engagement initiatives.
Supported activities include the Crescendo Music Program, Poetry Out Loud, Create with the Greats discrete art lessons, Family Art Nights, Open Studio, Student Art exhibitions, and culturally responsive community events such as Numu Social Dance. Grant funds will support program coordination, outreach, materials, and partnerships with school districts, Tribal partners, local government, and community organizations to ensure arts programming remains accessible, inclusive, and responsive to community needs across Mono County.
