With support from the California Arts Council, KUTZ FM will sustain and expand community-based arts and media programming in Sacramento. Funding will support core operations, including leadership, transmission, and licensing, ensuring consistent public access to arts programming.
KUTZ FM will produce up to 40 artist recording sessions annually, providing local musicians with professionally recorded performances, interviews, and stipends, supported by paid audio engineering. Content will be broadcast on KUTZ FM and distributed through free digital platforms, increasing access to local arts and culture.
Additional programming will include educational media initiatives and artist interviews that support creative workforce development, community engagement, and equitable access to media production resources.
Freeform radio featuring local artists from all genres. 4 local artists played every freeform hour. Most DJ hosted shows also have some local music. Our playlists are predominantly indie, unsigned and underrepresented artists. We have a large selection of West Coast and Sacramento music plus a large indie library. We also promote local venues and events that showcase local artists and the arts.
