With support from the California Arts Council, Mendocino Dance Project will increase administrative capacity to coordinate programming across rural communities, manage partnerships with schools and cultural organizations, expand outreach and accessibility efforts, and strengthen fundraising and operational systems that keep our core programs affordable and accessible.

Mendocino Dance Project’s core programs include:
Creative movement in local school districts serving rural youth ages 5 and up
Free ongoing Dance for People with Parkinson’s classes for individuals, caregivers, and family members
Live immersive dance performances in theaters and outdoor community spaces
Vertical Dance in the Redwoods programs, including performances, workshops, and summer camps connecting residents and visitors to the natural environment

This support will strengthen Mendocino Dance Project’s ability to build healthy, connected communities through movement, performance, and connection to place.
