The Makers Hub offers a range of hands on programs and community based services designed to increase access to the trades and creative industries. Our approach combines skill development, artistic exploration, and practical application to meet people where they are, whether they are exploring a hobby, building a portfolio, or seeking career readiness.

At the heart of our work is a fully equipped makerspace and tool lending library that provides affordable access to tools, equipment, and materials across a wide range of disciplines. Participants can learn and work in areas such as woodworking, sewing, electrical repair, digital design, sublimation printing, and more. We emphasize safety, accessibility, and peer learning, creating a space that is welcoming to both beginners and experienced makers.

In addition to our main facility, we deliver targeted programming that engages youth and young adults through creative workshops, mentorship, and entrepreneurial experiences. These programs combine creative expression with practical skill building, helping participants explore career possibilities while gaining confidence and technical knowledge. Workshops are led by artists, tradespeople, and community leaders who reflect the backgrounds and lived experiences of the people we serve.

Our services are inclusive, culturally relevant, and guided by community input. We prioritize access for BIPOC youth, LGBTQ youth, disconnected young adults, and others who have been historically excluded from traditional creative or technical education.

Through a mix of onsite programming, mobile outreach, and partnerships with schools and community groups, The Makers Hub supports long term engagement in the arts and trades.
