With support from the California Arts Council, the Larry Spring Museum will build our capacity to continue to produce sustainable programming that is accessible and meaningful to the communities we serve. Funding will allow us to pay a part-time contract-based program manager and a contract-based consultant to guide our operations. In addition, funding will also help to offset rent and rising utility costs.
Inspired by Larry Spring’s collection and practices, the Larry Spring Museum fosters his quirky spirit of inquiry through exhibitions, workshops, events, and arts-based community-centered collaborations. We support emerging, mid-career, and self-taught artists, makers, and other curious beings by providing a platform to develop and share their practice through hyper-local, analog, and intuitive modes of knowledge production.
