Kaladhaara Arts Academy is a community-rooted organization providing culturally specific arts education, performance, and outreach across Folsom, Mather Field, and Roseville. Serving approximately 200 students annually and producing over 35 performances each year, the organization demonstrates strong capacity, consistent programming, and sustained community demand.
Kaladhaara serves a growing audience of community members and arts patrons through performances that are open to the public and designed to be accessible to diverse audiences. Funding will also enhance production quality through continued investment in stage, lighting, and audio equipment, ensuring ongoing artistic excellence and broader public engagement.
The organization provides year-round training in Bharatanatyam dance, Carnatic music, and devotional Bhajans through a standards-based curriculum that includes level placement, structured syllabi, and a biannual assessment cycle. Students receive ongoing individualized feedback, ensuring that instruction is responsive to different learning needs and that all participants—regardless of experience level—have clear pathways for artistic growth.
One-on-one training on a need-be basis is provided to address the student’s weak areas. Additionally, Yoga, meditations are included as mandatory topics to sharpen the student’s capabilities at a holistic level.
Kaladhaara invites esteemed performing artists of various classical art forms from India and around the world, and hosts frequent performances, lectures, demonstrations and workshops.
