The Imperial Valley Symphony, serving El Centro and the greater Imperial Valley, requests support through the Impact Projects program. Our predominantly Hispanic, underserved community faces barriers to arts access, education, and representation.
This project centers a collaborative tour featuring pianist Tian Jiang, engaging local musicians and community members in performances, workshops, and outreach. By elevating artists from a rural border region, we address inequities in cultural representation while fostering intergenerational learning and community connection.
Funding will ensure equitable participation, offsetting costs that would otherwise limit access for our musicians. This initiative aligns with Impact Projects’ goals by using artistic practice to address economic disparity, arts access, and cultural equity.
