Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, HILLCREST WIND ENSEMBLE will use general Operating Support funds for artistic fees, administrative staffing, music purchase and commission, and rental for rehearsal and performance spaces.

Organization Summary

Hillcrest Wind Ensemble’s core program consists of weekly rehearsals in preparation for four community performances. When fiscally feasible, we sponsor an annual composition contest supporting new composers of wind ensemble music. Future plans include interacting with schools and band youth in the area, and increasing the number of concert performances
