With support from the California Arts Council, HEMET VALLEY ART ASSOCIATION INC will be better able to build a solid financial base, supplementing rent, utilities, supplies, insurances, and online and other technology costs. It will allow us to focus on our primary goals of providing art exhibition, education, and outreach throughout the San Jacinto/Hemet Valley. In a geographic area where the average HPI percentile is 14.3 and the average income is $18,659 per capita, it is imperative that we offer free or low-cost opportunities for art enrichment. While we have parlayed what we can offer into more opportunities through collaborations and partnerships and have made great strides in developing and expanding key initiatives that uplift historically underserved artists, this grant will help to ensure that we have the operational funds to stay in business.
