Future Leaders California is a community-rooted youth development organization that has delivered culturally relevant, arts-integrated programming to underserved youth across the Antelope Valley and Los Angeles County since 2014. At the center of every program is The 4 E’s of Life Coaching™, a proprietary, community-defined framework that uses SEL-integrated components such as creative expression, storytelling, and identity-affirming experiences to build self-regulation, leadership, and future orientation in underserved youth who yet to benefit from arts participation and opportunity.

FLC’s Just Us Arts initiative is a comprehensive arts portfolio, spanning theater, film, narrative arts, and community performance. Justice Sunday, operating since 2016, is a nationally recognized, fully youth-led theater program in which youth research, write, produce, and perform original two-hour social justice plays highlighting lesser-known but historically significant figures. Just Us Film Lab is a multi-week creative workforce development program building technical filmmaking skills, including directing, cinematography, editing, and storyboarding, through original short films exploring identity and justice. The Concrete Programs are arts-based, SEL-integrated, gender-responsive workshop series teaching emotional regulation and positive self-expression through FLC’s proprietary curriculum and culturally resonant literature. The Juneteenth Review is an annual community performance event where youth perform original scenes, songs, dances, and poetry in public spaces across the Antelope Valley. The Just Us Gala celebrates the Just Us Arts community annually, honoring youth artists, alumni, and creative industry partners. The Justice Sunday Alumni Youth Board retains and elevates former participants as active leaders, mentors, and co-designers of current programming.

Beyond Just Us Arts, FLC delivers school-based mentorship and early intervention programming, civic engagement and institutional trust-building programming, financial literacy, and workforce development programming, all unified by The 4 E’s and all designed to ensure that every young person FLC serves leaves with a stronger sense of who they are and what is possible for them.
