With support from the California Arts Council, the Friends of the Chinese American Museum will sustain essential operations while advancing a community-centered museum model. Funding will strengthen CAM’s capacity to deliver innovative exhibitions, arts-based programs, and educational initiatives that uplift Chinese American and Asian American Pacific Islander voices. Guided by the museum’s IMPACT initiative and its commitment to equity and accessibility, CAM will amplify historically marginalized narratives, foster cross-cultural dialogue, and build solidarity across communities. These efforts directly confront anti-Asian hate and broader social inequities by ensuring that underrepresented histories are preserved, shared, and recognized as vital to California’s cultural landscape.
