Organization Summary

1. French Language Instruction (FLAM Program)

As an organization recognized by the Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Étranger (AEFE) as a FLAM program and member of FLAM Monde, EFSAC provides structured French language instruction designed for children ages 4–16.

Our program supports:

Heritage French speakers maintaining their mother tongue

Bilingual children strengthening literacy and academic French

Non-native learners developing French as a second language

Curriculum components include:

Reading and writing development

Oral expression and comprehension

Grammar and vocabulary acquisition

Cultural literacy embedded in language learning

Age-appropriate academic reinforcement

Instruction is adapted by level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) to ensure differentiated learning and measurable progress.

2. Cultural Education & Francophone Heritage Programming

Language learning at EFSAC is inseparable from culture. We integrate:

French and Francophone history

Literature and storytelling

Arts, music, and creative expression

Global Francophone traditions and celebrations

Civic and cultural awareness activities

Through cultural events and thematic projects, students experience French not only as an academic subject but as a living cultural identity.

3. Community Engagement & Cultural Events

EFSAC organizes community-based initiatives that strengthen connections among Francophone and multicultural families, including:

Cultural celebrations

Educational workshops

Intergenerational events

Partnerships with local and international organizations

Participation in global FLAM collaborative projects

These programs reinforce community cohesion while promoting intercultural dialogue within the Sacramento region and beyond.

4. Bilingualism Advocacy & Global Collaboration

EFSAC actively contributes to the promotion of bilingualism as a cognitive, academic, and cultural asset.

Through engagement with the international FLAM network, we:

Participate in global educational initiatives

Share best practices with partner associations worldwide

Promote awareness of bilingual education benefits

5. Enrichment & Extended Learning Opportunities

Depending on enrollment and program cycles, EFSAC may offer:
