Classics 4 Kids was founded in 1994 to address a significant gap in music education. It began with the founder arranging for 600 students to attend a professional piano recital. Soon, more grades, schools, and districts sought access to our high-quality classical music concerts. Since then, Classics 4 Kids has embarked on a remarkable journey. In our last season alone, our educational programs reached nearly 40,000 students, teachers, and families.

• Conductor Dana Zimbric and the Classics Philharmonic Orchestra provide a unique music curriculum integrating STEAM, cultural diversity, and language arts.
• Innovative programs align with California Arts Standards for elementary schools and promote Social-Emotional learning.
• Guests from partner organizations enhance the concerts with their scientific knowledge, bilingual narration, and dance performances.
• Equitable access is prioritized by offering ~100 free bus scholarships and thousands of ticket subsidies, enabling up to 7,000 students from under-resourced and under-represented schools to attend concerts each season

Classics 4 Kids is dedicated to making music education accessible for every child, unlocking the transformative potential of the arts! We engage K-12 students with thrilling orchestra concerts, energetic in-school assemblies, and interactive virtual learning that keeps them inspired. Working closely with Title I schools, we aim to boost academic engagement, empower personal growth, and spark creativity in under-resourced students, paving the way for the next generation of innovative artists and thinkers.

Our engaging programs connect music with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), literature, and cultural themes, all aligned with the California Arts Standards and the National Core Arts Standards. We prioritize social-emotional learning and proudly highlight the vital contributions of diverse composers and local artists.
