With support from the California Arts Council, BURBANK COMMUNITY BAND, INC will strengthen its general operations so it can continue providing free, accessible performances and music education opportunities for Burbank and neighboring communities. Grant funds will support core operating needs, including performance venue costs, compensation for contracted artistic and operations personnel, expanded marketing, and hiring guest artists who enhance performances.
This support will help sustain a welcoming space where volunteer musicians of varied backgrounds, ages, abilities, and skill levels can rehearse and perform together. Funds will also help the Band respond to recent growth in musician participation and audience attendance, securing larger, accessible venues and expand outreach to new audiences.
Investment will preserve a long-standing community tradition and expand free access to music for families, older adults, students, and community members throughout the Burbank region.
