With support from the California Arts Council, BoxoPROJECTS will strengthen its artist residency program and expand public programming in the Morongo Basin. Grant funds will be used to provide stipends to resident artists, reducing financial barriers to participation and enabling a more diverse group of artists to engage with the region. Funds will also support the development of public programs—including open studios, performances, and talks—that connect artists with local and regional audiences. Additional support will cover artist accommodations, increased program manager hours, and professional documentation to increase visibility and long-term impact. These activities will advance BoxoPROJECTS’ mission to facilitate cultural exchange, support artists, and provide accessible, high-quality arts programming in a rural community with limited cultural resources.
