With support from the California Arts Council, Ballet Resource Active Volunteer Association (BRAVA) will: (1) provide significantly discounted student tickets for schools in the Riverside, Alvord, and Moreno Valley school districts to attend a performance of BRAVA’s production of David Allan’s The Nutcracker in December 2026; and (2) offer a series of classroom dance tutorials based on ballet movements for elementary school classrooms in those districts during the spring and fall 2027 semesters, focusing on schools with limited or no arts program budgets. This grant will enable BRAVA to expand student participation in its Art for the Heart Program, which provides dance education and arts engagement opportunities for students with limited access to the arts.
