With support from the California Arts Council, Arose from Concrete will be able to expand its youth arts and vocational enrichment programming for inner city youth. We will be able to provide underserved young people access to structured, hands on training in creative and beauty based art , while integrating mentorship, coaching and counseling to support personal development. Grant funds will be used to implement a series of workshops and trainings led by experienced artist and industry professionals, focusing on cosmetology, visual arts , and creative expression. Funds will also assist the program in providing career exploration opportunities, metal wellness support and life skill development. Arose from Concrete aims to empower youth to discover their talents, build marketable skills and pursue meaningful career opportunities all while prioritizing and providing a safe and inclusive environment.
