American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) nurtures the art of live theater through dynamic productions, intensive actor training, and ongoing community engagement. A.C.T. embraces the responsibility to conserve, renew, and reinvent the rich theatrical traditions that are our collective legacy, while exploring new artistic forms and new communities. A commitment to the highest standards informs every aspect of A.C.T.’s creative work. For more than 50 years, we have brought the finest in the performing arts to the Bay Area’s diverse communities. A.C.T. serves more than 250,000 people annually through transformational productions, visionary artistic training, and enlightening and empowering educational and community engagement programs.
