With support from the California Arts Council, ACCESS HUMBOLDT will be able to maintain our staff, utilities, and general operating expenses related to our artistic programs.
Our core Programs and Services include: Digital Media Arts Education and Distribution of content across 5 Cable TV Channels and LPFM at KZZH 96.7 FM. Current programs include our Short Film Incubator and Film Festival: BOLDtFEST; Our Content Creation Contests with Student sections; Digital Media Literacy Classes open to Students aged 13-100; And ongoing one-on-one training in Digital Arts projects determined by the student and community. Our robust internship programs have launched careers in Digital Media Arts and Broadcast. We enjoy a strong relationship with Cal Poly Humboldt and College of the Redwoods where we continue to design innovative programs with their students and Youth. Our programs are awards-winning and have recently been recognized with 13 WAVE Awards nominations and 7 Wins. Our Executive Director is an award winning filmmaker and Digital Media Artist instilling her experiences into our programs with a focus on building a pipeline from youth Arts education to industry employment.
