The City of West Hollywood is seeking qualifications from professional artists and curators for a temporary public art exhibition at the Santa Monica Boulevard/Doheny Drive traffic median. This project is part of the City’s Creative Plan celebrating the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Three selected artists will be invited to develop proposals inspired by the theme “Inventing Traditions,” exploring how traditions evolve and how global events shape community and cultural identity. Artists may propose existing or newly fabricated work. No proposals are required at the qualification stage.
