The Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA) is recruiting volunteers for an upcoming arts-centered festival called the Great Valley Gathering to be held this October 2-4, 2026 at Courtyard Park in Downtown Fresno.  

This inaugural event is a free, three-day public event celebrating the living traditions, music, dance, storytelling, craft, and foodways that shape California’s Central Valley. Produced by ACTA and rooted in the region’s rich agricultural history, the festival highlights a broad range of cherished expressions from diverse communities—Indigenous, immigrant, occupational, sacred, and more. 

Volunteers are needed for shifts throughout the festival (Friday evening, all day Saturday and all day Sunday), as well as pre- and post-event support. For more information about the festival, artist schedule, please visit the Great Valley Gathering website.
