We are thrilled to officially open our Call for Applications for the 2027–2028 residency season! These place-based artist residencies last about 4-6 weeks and are open to artists of any discipline.

In 2027, we are furthering our reach across Montana to connect artists with incredible landscapes, history, and communities. You’ll find new opportunities mixed in with the tried and true experiences we have all come to look forward to year after year.

For the 2027-28 cycle we welcome four exciting new site partners, including Five Valleys Land Trust, Montana Historical Society, the Kingsley History Project, and spectrUM Discovery Area.

Of course, we are also ecstatic to welcome the many returning site hosts and collaborators. Welcome back, friends! We look forward to the creativity that is to come this next full season!

Artists are matched with a site and provided with lodging, a studio, and a daily stipend. This year offers specific residency options for Indigenous artists. Open to ALL Disciplines! Deadline is November 30
