With support from the California Arts Council, MOUNTAIN THEATER ALLIANCE will host a fully subsidized performing arts camp for the Frazier Mountain community in rural Kern County. Access to arts enrichment is scarce, and the need is profound. For many of these students, from elementary through high school, this will be their only opportunity to experience the transformative power of live performance. We piloted a summer camp in 2025 in partnership with Motion Arts Collective, and want to expand this program to provide access to more youth. This grant will directly fund production costs and fairly compensate local teaching artists, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. The Frazier Mountain community is under-resourced and historically underserved. By investing in this camp, you are investing in our youth’s academic and creative success.
