Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, the Long Beach Cello Orchestra will do three things:
1. Increase our Community Engagement activities: We currently have close relationships with 50% of Long Beach high schools, and 30% of its middle schools. Our 2027 goal is to increase enrollment by fifty percent. In order to accomplish this, we need to increase our engagement with the rest of the schools in the Long Beach area.
2. Increase size of our administrative department: We will increase the size of our administrative team to account for an increased need to coordinate outreach activities, and to handle an increase in paperwork as student enrollment rises.
3. We will increase the size of our development department so we can offer more scholarships to new students who sign up for our program.
Organization Summary
We produce cello programs that serve all skill levels and ages. Our flagship prgoram is cello orchestra year round program and summer camp. We also run smaller cello ensemble programs for students wanting even more musical education. We also create more casual community building events on a regular basis so our students can continue getting to know each other.
