Our programs span education, performance, cultural preservation, and community gathering.
Raices is our school residency program bringing flamenco and Hispanic cultural arts directly into Vacaville classrooms. In our pilot at Markham Elementary, we served 120 students and families through a multi-week residency culminating in a school performance. Raices is expanding to additional schools in 2026, supported by Vacaville Unified School District.
The Arteritano Flamenco Training Program offers EFA-accredited flamenco instruction for all ages — from Pre-Flamenco for children as young as five through adult levels — at two studio locations in Vacaville. Students train toward Spain-recognized examinations and feed into the Arteritano Flamenco Company pipeline.
Carmen is our annual flagship production — a flamenco ballet adaptation of the opera presented each September-October during Hispanic Heritage Month at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre. Now in its third year, Carmen is the cultural anchor of Hispanic Heritage Month in our region.
Tertulias are monthly community gatherings where students, families, and neighbors share food, explore a cultural theme, and deepen their connection to Hispanic traditions. Low-barrier, multilingual, and community-generated.
Entretejidas is our cultural preservation and exchange program — documenting and transmitting traditional artisan practices from Latin America and Spain, beginning with Peruvian weaving traditions through our Rotary International partnership.
