With support from the California Arts Council, Golden Valley Community Broadcasters will sustain and expand its role as a nonprofit arts and cultural broadcaster serving rural and underserved communities in Northern California. CAC funds will support general operating costs—including staff compensation, utilities, program administration, and volunteer training—enabling KZFR to produce free, accessible arts and cultural programming.

Building on recent growth, KZFR will continue expanding locally produced content, including music programming, public affairs, and community-based storytelling that amplify regional artists and underrepresented voices. Funding will support arts education and workforce development, including youth media training and community partnerships that increase access to creative expression and media production.

Through these efforts, KZFR will strengthen its role as a platform for artistic expression, cultural exchange, and community connection, ensuring broad public access to the arts across Northern California.
