With support from the California Arts Council, SAM Academy will launch weekly mariachi and ballet folklórico classes for youth. Experienced instructors in each discipline will lead sessions in the SAM Academy Music Studio, complemented by community performances throughout the year. The program is designed to serve underserved students from rural communities around Sanger, expanding access to arts and cultural experiences that are often limited. Participants will build both fine and gross motor skills through music, movement, coordination, and balance. At the same time, they will cultivate positive relationships with peers and adults while deepening their understanding of their heritage language, cultural traditions, dance, and music.
