Project Description
This grant would allow us the opportunity to support our exciting 52nd season with the artistic and operational staffing necessary to adhere to our professional standards while allowing us to grow.
We would hope to allocate funding as follows:
S52 Associate Conductor $5,000
S52 Accompanist $7,245
S52 Rehearsal Space $5,100
S52 Sheet Music $1,800
S52 Storage $960
S52 Bookkeeping $4,842
Total $24,947
This year through an LA County Grant we were able to hire an amazing intern who has grown in her engagement with the organization. She has shown a passion and dedication to our organization and we would love to be able to continue her engagement beyond the completion of this season. We’re working to find ways to continue our internship program as a paid opportunity requiring around $6500 for 10 hours per week.
Organization Summary
The Angeles Chorale is a 65-voice, auditioned, professional-level, volunteer choir based in Los Angeles, CA. Established in 1975 the Chorale has brought inspiring choral music experiences to our Los Angeles community for over 50 years. They perform publicly between three and six times per years.
