Culture Kids Productions requests $30,000 in general operating support to sustain core infrastructure during October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. Funds will support partial Executive Director salary ($15,000) to oversee programming, partnerships, and organizational management; California public library outreach programming ($4,000) to bring live cultural education directly to children and families across the state; honorariums for cultural organization collaborators ($5,000) whose expertise, time, and community relationships make our programming authentic and meaningful; audience development and community outreach ($3,000) to expand access to California families and schools; and legal and administrative expenses ($3,000) for nonprofit governance and contract compliance.
Culture Kids Productions is an award-winning nonprofit media organization based in Manhattan Beach, California, dedicated to fostering a global mindset in children ages 4-8 through joyful, story-based audio content. Our core programs and services include:The Culture Kids Podcast – Our flagship program and primary delivery vehicle for arts learning. Each episode takes young listeners on an immersive audio adventure to a different country, city, or culture, exploring traditions, foods, languages, animals, and the real families and communities behind them. Episodes are produced in partnership with cultural organizations, educators, authors, and community members who share their authentic lived experiences. The podcast is free and accessible on all major platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Yoto, removing financial and geographic barriers to participation.Community and Cultural Partnerships – We partner directly with Los Angeles-based cultural organizations, immigrant communities, and diverse families to co-create content that centers authentic voices. These partnerships ensure our programming reflects and honors California’s extraordinary multicultural communities, while connecting young listeners to cultures near and far.Educational Outreach – Our content is developed with input from educators, cultural experts, and child development specialists to ensure each episode is age-appropriate, research-backed, and aligned with early childhood learning principles. We use proven strategies including narrative learning, music, and repetition to help children build cultural literacy from an early age.All programming is offered free of charge to families, with no paywall, making it equally accessible to children across socioeconomic backgrounds throughout California and beyond.
